Newspapers at WS this week. I opened the newspaper at a random page, which happened to be the family (death) notifications (sorry, i really don't know what these pages are called in English). There was the theme for the diptych I wanted to make staring at me... Be grateful for life, Seize the day.
Twee vierkantjes van 7,5 cm aan elkaar gezet met textielplakband. Kleine stukjes tekst uit de advertenties geknipt (als je op de foto klikt kun je ze waarschijnlijk wel lezen). Achtergrond is acrylverf, schrijfwerk met Sharpie poster marker.
Two 3" squares attached to each other with fabric tape. Small bits trimmed from the notifications (click on the photo to read the Dutch texts, 'with great sorrow' 'our beloved' 'he loved life, he had so many plans', you get the point). Background is done with acrylic paint, lettering with Sharpie poster marker.
