Het is nog een grote stofbende in mijn werkkamer na de verbouwing, maar dit kleine project moest even tussendoor afgehandeld.
My workspace is still a dusty mine field now the renovation is finished, but this small project had to be finished.

Binnenkort volg ik een boekbindworkshop. Alle leerlingen is gevraagd het boekblok thuis alvast te naaien. Dan kunnen we alle tijd aan de binding zelf besteden. Mijn boekblok ligt klaar :)
I will attent a bookbinding workshop shortly. All students were asked to sew the text block at home so we can spend the time on the binding itself. My text block is ready to go :)

familiefeest family party

Afgelopen weekend hadden we een fantastisch familieweekend, iedereen maakte een paar meter slinger om het huis te versieren waar we verbleven. Ik maakte een simpele van behangpapier.
Last weekend we had a wonderful family weekend. Everyone made a few meters garland to adorn the house we stayed. I made a simple one from wallpaper.

Eerst nog even thuis opgehangen om te zien of hij zou houden. Jawel, goedgekeurd.
Put the garland up at home to check if it would hold. Yep, approved.

Een avondje snijden en nieten en je hebt 5 meter slinger :)

boodschappentas shopping bag

Tussen alle bouwactiviteiten door ben ik af en toe naar een vriendin gevlucht. Een van die keren maakten we van een paar coupons projectmeubelstof boodschappentassen.
All building activity in the house made me escape to a friend every now and then. One time we made shopping bags from a few remnants upholstery fabric.

Hele leuke gekke stof, voelt een beetje als 'wetsuit' met ribbels.
Fun weird fabric, a bit like 'surfer wetsuit' with ribs.

We hadden genoeg materiaal voor twee enorme tassen.
We had enough fabric to make two ginormous bags.

Langzaamaan dragen we alle verhuisdozen weer naar beneden. Ik ben even over een paar stapels geklommen om een stuk papier en een verfstift op te graven. Voelt primaaaaaaaaa :) nu weer terug naar de dozen ;)
Slowly all moving boxes are carried downstairs again. I've climbed some piles to dig up a piece of paper and a paint marker, feels gooooood :) now back to my boxes ;)

Ruim een week geleden is er eind gekomen aan het posten van een dagelijkse creatieve link op DIOL. Er kwamen een paar prachtige bedankjes naar me toe, terwijl ik juist degene ben die zou moeten bedanken ♡♡♡
Over a week ago DIOL is stopped posting the daily creative link. Some wonderful thank you's arrived at my place, but really I'm the one that should say thanks ♡♡♡

pop-up

Tijdens het eten hadden we het over pop-up kaarten. Ik wil al een poos (lees jaren) graag 'ABC3D' aanschaffen en lief had geen idee wat een pop-up is. Dan bieden de videos op het WWW uitkomst :)
At dinner we where talking pop-up cards. I want to buy 'ABC3D' for some time now (as in years) and my sweetie didn't have a clue what a pop-up looks like. Here's to video's on the WWW :)

't Is leuk weer te gaan bloggen en het begint nu echt te kriebelen om eens iets creatiefs te gaan doen, mijn handen jeuken om met papier, inkt en verf in de weer te gaan...

It's fun to be posting again, my creative juices are starting to flow, I'm itching to lay my hands on some paper, ink and paint...

Onze huisrenovatie begint nu echt op te schieten, jammer, niet voor Pasen klaar. Wel weer een leuk filmpje gevonden :)
Our house renovation is nearing the final stage, not ready before Easter (small bummer). I did came across another fun video though :)
