stick to it (be happy)

teared painted paper, bits and pieces, heart pin, computer generated text, glossy accents (Ranger)

It's been awhile since I joined Michelle Ward's Street team (over a year, I'm not sure) and this 'strip ease' was just what i needed to alter another matchbox. Over the adhered strips an alpha-helix is stenciled with watery paint (hence the blurry image), it makes the teared edges a bit too invisible, ah well...

  2. Oh this little matchbook garden is so sweet! I like how the torn edges are less obvious and more a texture and depth.

  3. Schitterende buitenlant, romantische binnenkant.

  4. Dymphie - it has been a long time since you played with us!! nice to hear from you. LOVE this little box! The colors are wonderful. I can see the torn edges on the close-up....I bet it is even more lovely in real life. Thanks for sharing your interpretation of the crusade!

  6. How strange - the comments thing! Love your little matchbox Dymphie... we have a lot in common I feel! I have looked at your 50 Books projects too - fascinating! It is something I would also like to return to in the future - I really liked the books I did make after taking Julie's Classes last year! =D

  8. gosh...this is wonderful! as usual, your talent shines. i made something like this, except in a bit larger wooden box. included was a collection of oddities that a young girl would find and keep, like: sea shells, bits of lace, feathers, pretty stones, etc. alas, i don't have a picture! with your inspiration, i might have to do it again. thank you...you touched my heart today. (i have a similar box that is full to overflowing, so i keep the rest in my studio. it is time to open those tiny drawers...seeds, a cat claw, a bob cat tooth, bits of broken glass, tiny bits of paper, etc. if you would like to visit my flickr, here is the link: http://www.flickr.com/photos/26744467@N02/sets/

  24. Hello Dympie,

  28. What a cool way to complete this challenge. I've never seen an altered matchbox before, let alone thought about creating one.

You've given me another fun task to add to my crafty to-do list!
